 About me


Amidst the troubles of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, unpredictable circumstances led me to a career shift from a scientist in pharmaceuticals developing new medicines for more than 25 years, to pursuing my long-term vision of becoming a yoga teacher. The ethics, values and practice of yoga had been pulling on me for many years and the time for change had come!


From early 2021 I started the on-line part of a hybrid 300 hour yoga teacher training course with the accredited and internationally recognised Bodhiyoga International yoga teacher training school which completed at the end of October 2021 with almost 3 weeks of in-person training at the school's retreat centre, Suryvana, near Valencia in Spain. Since fully qualifying in January 2022, I have been teaching yoga classes at a local gym as well as running my own private classes

My dream and vision of sharing the immense benefits of yoga and meditation for the mind, body as well as overall health and life-style with others is a precious gift that is starting to unfold for me! I am truly grateful to my teachers at Bodhiyoga for encouraging me to start this journey and I know this is just the beginning and this exciting road will hopefully continue for many more years to come!

 San Yoga philosophy

The meaning of 'Yoga' is union of the mind, body, and spirit, and 'Hatha' (the practice of physical postures) is made up of two components: 'Ha' meaning 'sun', the active current in the body, and 'Tha' meaning 'moon', the receptive current in the body. Hatha Yoga symbolises the equilibrium between these two energies.

During my classes we will progressively work to balance these energies by working through the main groups of foundation poses in synergy with breath-work. The goal of my classes is not to have a super flexible, bendy body but more the invitation to improve flexibility, balance, strength of both the mind and body with awareness and mindfulness.
